2010: Good Comes Now, not Then
How much time do you spend at your computer, cell phone, PDA, camera, or TV screen every day, week, month, year, or lifetime? If you add up the hours, you may be astonished at how physically tied you are to technology. With the New Year comes astounding news of an innovative technology that can yield you many of the benefits of your technological devices without having to sit in front of them. M.I.T. genius Pranav Mistry has developed a system that will allow you to move about your day and fully engage in life without sitting at a desk. His inventions may help you take photos simply by framing the desired picture with your fingertips; make mobile phone calls by pressing buttons of light projected onto the palm of your hand; create word and graphic documents on hard copies by moving elements, lifting, and placing them with your fingertips; and much more. To see Pranav Mistry's inventions in action, click to watch the astounding video below. Nobly, Mistry is not claiming patents on his inventions, but will offer them to the technology industry without licensing by him, in order to proliferate the new wave and offer it to as many people as possible as quickly as possible. I see these inventions as mind-stretchers and a symbolic lesson that just when you think you know what the cutting edge of an industry or life could be, someone or something comes along and shows you that you were thinking too small -- there is always a bigger world available to you than you can imagine. As we launch into 2010, you probably have some idea of what can happen and what will happen to you personally and as a world. I suggest that you reconsider your notion and assume that more good can and will come to you than you currently expect, in forms you have not yet imagined. When the world is ready for a good idea, it is available to anyone who is open to pluck it from the mind of God. While we generally give credit to certain individuals for inventing the automobile, airplane, television, or computer, there have always been numerous people seeking to manifest those inventions, and who could have been the one credited if they got there first. And their contributions are equally important. You, too, have exciting ideas about what you would like to create in your life and your world. It may not be a technical device, but it may be a book, song, artwork, dream home, relationship, or family. Pranav Mistry demonstrates in a very tangible form that the way it is always gives way to the way it could be. 2010 would be a fabulous year to receive what we have been waiting for, now.
