Lesson 10
Embracing a Big New “Yes!”
“Whenever I step forward to embrace a big new “Yes!”
all of my old “No’s” come back to greet me.”
We live in a world of polarity, and we grow by opposites. It is not unusual that when you or your client sets an intention to move ahead in life, the residue of old, limiting, or contradictory beliefs or patterns show up.
Whenever you choose a goal, you become keenly aware of two factors or forces: (1) Everything that matches the goal; and (2) Everything that opposes the goal.
This is not a bad process; in fact it is ultimately helpful to reach your goal, for the following reason:
You start with a THESIS, or a posited statement or intention.
Your thesis calls forth an ANTITHESIS, or argument against the thesis.
You “sweat the opposites” until you have come to terms with THESIS and ANTITHESIS, and you come up with a SYNTHESIS, which is greater than either of the contributing polarities. Then you move ahead, leaving the apparently contradictory factors behind.
An ancient philosopher put it thus:
“What does not kill me makes me stronger.”
A more modern statement:
“Confusion is the last stop on the train to clarity.”
The above ideas bear immense value to you if you are facing conflict or confusion, or if your client is. You can tell your client that the very confusion he or she is dealing with means that he or she is very close to breaking through to a new level of awareness or understanding.
Take, for example, the process some of you mentioned in returning home from our retreat. Your life at home and work has generally functioned at a certain frequency. At our retreat we established a field of energy operating at a very refined level, or lighter frequency. When you return to your familiar activities, the frequency of those activities is where you left it ― but you are now on a different wavelength. So you may experience a thud, heaviness, or sense of frustration or stuckness. But you don’t have to live with that. If you practice the frequency we established and enjoyed at the retreat, you can invite your life at home and work to rise to that vibration. The retreat would mean little if we just got stimulated for a long weekend and left it behind. The real goal of the program is to inspire you and give you skills to lift the rest of your life to a desired level of fulfillment.
Don’t be discouraged if you hit a few bumps here and there. Ask yourself what you can do to rise above them, knowing what you know and learning what you learned in our group.
If you interface with people who seem grumpy or resistant, remember that your connection to Source will assist you to move beyond any resistance. When two people interface and one is connected to Source and the other isn’t, the person connected to Source is in a far more powerful position. Not that you need power over the person; but you have power to create a positive solution for both of you that someone who is momentarily disconnected cannot see.
Use everything that happens back home, joyful or challenging, as fuel to go higher. You have what it takes, and you will succeed!
Exercise:
1. What person, people, or situations seem to challenge you on your way to your goal?
2. How might their resistance help and empower you?
3. Choose one person or situation, and fit its elements into the Thesis-Antithesis-Synthesis model.
4. How can you remain connected to Source, even if others around you are not connected?
