Lesson 14

Shifting the Balance

The results that you and your clients achieve are directly related to the frequency at which you are operating. Yet you do not operate at simply one frequency. You usually have several energies moving simultaneously, one of which is generally dominant and the other(s) more passive or recessive.

The results you obtain are a function of your dominant vibration. This explains why you or your client can say you want a particular result, but cannot figure out why you are not getting it. You truly do want this result, but if there is a more dominant energy in your field, that will take precedence.

For example, a seminar attendee told me that she really wants to connect with her soulmate. When I asked her about her relationships, she declared, “Men are such jerks. It’s almost impossible to connect with a good one.” Then she went on to tell me about a number of her disastrous dates and relationships.

While this woman truly did want a partner, her dominant belief was that men are unattractive and there are no good ones available. Since this was her dominant energy, this accounted for the results she got. She were beckoning a man with one hand, while pushing him away with another stronger, more active hand.

As you listen to your clients, you will sense what their dominant belief or feeling is, and it will often be clearer to you where they stand than is clear to them. You can help them by reflecting to them what you are sensing. You might say, for example, “I know that you want a partner, but it sounds like you prefer being alone more than you want a partner.”  If your client is open to receive your feedback, this could be an illuminating moment for them. At such a point you might discuss the cost and payoff of having a partner vs. not having a partner.

We can also understand dominant energy in terms of attention and focus. If 98% of your life is working and 2% is not working, and you focus 100% of your attention on the 2% that is not working, in that moment, in your experience, 100% of your life is not working. Likewise, if 98% of your life is not working and 2% is working, and you focus 100% of your attention on the 2% that is working, in that moment, in your experience, 100% of your life is working.

Since you get more of whatever you concentrate on, if you can get your client to focus on (1) what is working or what could work; or (2) why they want their desired goal; or (3)  why they deserve their desired goal; or (4) moments in their experience when they are aligned with their desired goal; or (5) people or models they know who are achieving a goal similar to the one they desire, you can begin to shift a desired intention from a recessive position to a dominant position. In terms of the other model described above, you can shift the focus on what is not working to what is working, and move the 2% working to 5% to 10% and so on up the scale.

One more principle that will help in this process:

You can always tell what you believe by what you are getting.

Notice what your client is getting and help them trace the manifestation process back to their beliefs. The woman who did not get her mate, in spite of all her attempts, believed that men were undesirable and unavailable. There are plenty of other women in her geographical and social circles who were having better “luck” finding men because their beliefs were more open to a partner.

Once you trace your client’s experience back to core beliefs, you can assist them to become aware of the beliefs that are helping or hampering them. The woman who was not finding her mate had no idea she had so much energy in opposition to men. Once she became aware of this habit of thought, she could begin to consciously shift the balance of her attention in the direction of a rewarding relationship.

The principles of success are perfectly scientific. There are no random results, and nothing shows up unrelated to consciousness. Help your partner be more conscious of their currents of energy and then support them to make choices that will place their true choices in a dominant position in their field so they can attract like results.

Exercise:

1.      Think of a situation in which a friend or family member is getting no results or ambivalent results in their efforts to achieve a goal:

What do you see as their dominant vibration or energy in relation to this goal?

What do you see as their secondary or recessive energy toward this goal?

Can you see the relationship between the beliefs and feelings they are holding, and the results they are getting?

2.      Think of a situation in which you are getting no results or ambivalent results in your efforts to achieve a goal:

What is your dominant vibration or energy in relation to this goal?

What is your lesser or recessive energy toward this goal?

Can you see the relationship between the beliefs and feelings you are holding, and the results you are getting?

3.      In each of the situations above, what could you or the other person focus on that might tip the balance of energy in favor of creating the desired result?

4.      When considering results, both wanted and unwanted, ask yourself, “What would someone have to believe to get this result?
